We are starting the 2026-2027 year term next week, Tuesday September 8.

If you haven't picked up a song/songs for the November concert, let's talk about that together this week.

If you have already started the song, we will keep working together.

Event for all students:

Saturday November 21 2026

3-7pm

at the Unitarian Church Vancouver

We will begin with pianists, choir and singers.

All singers and pianists and their family members will be invited for a choir song.

Let me know if you are interested in, then I will give you the music sheets for your practice.

Not too much commitments are needed as our tutti rehearsal will be held only during the recital;)

Event for choir and some students who are looking for more opportunities for performance experience:

Our annual Christmas caroling and concerts at hospitals and more venues will be confirmed in Oct/Nov.

In the new year, we will discuss about music festivals and competitions if you will be interested in.

At last, we have a singers' recital including some pianists who cannot make the main recital.

Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival 2026

Our Apple Choir just performed at the Garry Point Park in Richmond last weekend.

This was the third year for us to participate this family friendly festival.

Richmond Cherry Blossom Festival is hosted by the City of Richmond and organised by the BC Wakayama Kenjin Kai.

We sang without any accompaniments except Edelweiss we had a guitar played by Masa. We included songs from various cultures and eras into our programme.

Yesterday, Sunday November 24 2025, we held a wonderful concert again! Thank you to all the performers, their families and their friends!

 I know it's not easy to perform in front of people at 100% of you due to nervousness, however I'm so proud of you that each of you managed to give your best despite the any kinds of pressure. I hope you recognize and admire yourselves in term of the amount of practice and effort you have been putting in up until this day. Since we selected the songs, you have been practicing over and over again. It's incredible you made your performance yesterday!

 I hope you enjoy watching your videos of you now. As always, I hope you heard your sound at the beautiful sound effected venue, this is a special opportunity we can't get everyday. Please also let me know if there are any songs that other people have played yesterday that you would like to learn.

I would like to say thank you to all families who continue to encourage and support your musicians at home!

On December 13, I have two Christmas Concerts with Apple Choir. If you would like to come and perfom Christmas songs (piano, singing or any instruments), please let me know!
