The K.O.N. Artists (mezzo-soprano Ayako Komaki, clarinetist Janine Oye and pianist Alix Nishihara) bring together their diverse musical and artistic backgrounds to explore unique repertoire beautifully suited to the distinct harmony and colour of their combination. The K.O.N. Artists have developed a programme of songs (including songs by Leslie Uyeda, Toru Takemitsu, and Simon Sargon, as well as more traditional songs from the late romantic period of the 19th century) that represents the beauty, pathos, and humour of contemporary daily life.
K.O.N. アーティスツ （メゾソプラノのアヤコ・コマキ、クラリネット奏者のジャニーン・オイエ、ピアニストのアリックス・ニシハラ）は、それぞれが持つ多様な音楽と芸術のバックグラウンドを持ち寄ることでユニークなハーモニーと色彩を織りなす音楽ユニットで、彼らの間に生まれる特別なシナジーをうまく表現できる曲・セットリストを探求しつつ活動しています。。今回K.O.N. アーティスツはレスリー・ウエダ、武満徹、サイモン・サーゴンや、19世紀後期ロマン派のより伝統的な歌を中心に、現代の日常生活の美しさ、哀愁、ユーモアを表現した歌のプログラムを上演します。。
